Microsoft News is an official Microsoft app that keeps you up to date with the latest news, all from the comfort of your desktop. With it, you can tailor your homepage by selecting the news outlets and online papers you want to follow. You can even block any source you don't want appearing in your main feed.

Start by customizing your news feed

When you first open Microsoft News, take a moment to set up the type of news you want and where it comes from. Just click the Personalization button near the top right corner, just below the weather display. There, you can choose which sources to follow and which topics matter most to you. You can also block any outlet you'd prefer not to see at all.

Up top, you'll see the latest and most relevant headlines, tailored to your preferences, and as you scroll, more and more stories will appear. While Microsoft News is built for reading the world's top news, it also offers tons of video content. Again, start by curating your experience. Pick the types of videos you enjoy and the channels you like. That way, you'll only see the video content that really interests you. For example, if you just want cat videos, select "pets" as your sole interest.
